Since opening its doors as a small soup kitchen in 1998, Boca Helping Hands has grown into one of South Florida’s leading nonprofit service organizations. Today, with 25 dedicated staff members and more than 300 committed volunteers, BHH serves nearly 35,000 clients each year, delivering food assistance, healthcare access, and essential resources to families in need. In 2024 alone, BHH distributed 112,010 pantry bags across five Palm Beach County locations and served over 64,000 hot meals. Through its partnership with Genesis Community Health, individuals and families gain expanded access to medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare services in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach. BHH also supports children facing food insecurity through its Backpacks Program, providing weekend meals to students in 15 local schools. The Resource Center offers emergency assistance for rent, utilities, and childcare, while scholarships, vocational training, ESOL classes, financial education, and career mentoring empower individuals toward long term self sufficiency.
